Individualsports that uses wheels are different in some ways. Although weird as it is, confusion can be experienced thinking of the values and differences between bikes, kick scooters, and inline skates.
This article talks about what is different about. Check out the image below of the Sidewalker Willy kick bike. Because this kick scooter looks a lot like small bicycles, they show why kick scooting is very different, in detail, then bicycle riding and should not be thought of as riding a bike.
Kick Scooters can be used as your main way of getting to school or work, bu they are really ideal for:
Sightseeing: Those who ride kick scooters will most likely stop and take in their surroundings more than those who ride bikes. Exploring on foot is at the heart of an adventure on a kick scooter, no matter what type of kick scooter you use. Bikers, I know, routinely ride 20 miles or more per trip. People who ride kick scooters usually talk about locations, rather than how far to a location it is.
Pedestrian Mingling: People who ride kick scooters can fit in with people in tourism places and on sidewalks with a lot of people because it is easy to just step off the scooter and walk. Also, kick scooter riders do not usually scare people by passing them real fast, like a bike rider.
Moseying Around: Kick scooters get from place to place faster than walking, but speed itself is not part of the process. Riding a bike is more about speed than kick scooting, the exception is frequent dismounts during traveling. A lot of dismounts, while riding a kick scooter, are normal because the dismount action requires less effort than it does on a bicycle.
Inline skating and biking are good aerobic exercises. But neither are the best transportation to use in moseying around. Also, popular, scooters that use small wheels, are not the best things to use to push your aerobic boundaries. Some people can kick up their kick scooter's RPM, but separations on sidewalks and other little obstacles greatly suppress traveling real fast.
After saying that, using a Kickbike, a bike-kick-scooter hybrid, made to travel on the road, can work your heart, shrink your backside, and prepare you for a challenge against Lance Armstrong during Tour de France trials.
Kick scooting to the extreme, can also work your heart-rate and test your fear-factor. However, if you are 10 years old, or more, with weight or 100 pounds, or more, you will need reinforced kick scooters, built more study. The average adult kick scooting person who uses kickbikes like the Ssidewalker are not trying to jump off curbs, which will probably mess up their kick scooter.
Using a kick scooter in nice places gives a larger range of travel over walking, with much less work. Want to see? Look through the other files on this site.
Your age don't matter, a lot of people find that standing on a kick scooter is more comfortable than sitting on a bicycle seat, easier your knees, and easier on your wrists because heavy, triangulated reinforcement isn't needed.
Kick scooters are portable. The Sidewalker Willy scooter, shown above in this article is the size of a normal bicycle but weighs a lot less. It can also be carried easily or pushed when you are not riding. Small, kick scooters that can fold up, are easier to carry, but small kick scooters are better if you ride on a sidewalk. Kick scooters with big wheels you can ride on streets with smooth areas.
Those that like kick scooting, some wonderful vacation spots are coastal areas because sidewalks and river front roads, lakes, and the seashore are usually very level. Bikers love to boast about the hills they have completed, kick scooter riders can't say the same.
Like travel next to beautiful waterways? Riding piers with a kick scooter is quite nice because piers are level and riders do not have to get off their scooters when they want to stop to check out something; they just take one foot off their scooters to check out the sights.
